V.                  GENERAL RULES OF CONDUCT

a.       PERSONAL APPEARANCE

                                                               i.      All pupils are expected to observe the standards of good grooming. They are required to wear their prescribed school uniform during class days except during wash day of which they are to dress appropriately (no flip-flops/slippers, no sleeveless/spaghetti-strapped blouses).

                                                             ii.      They are required to wear their school ID inside the school premises.

                                                            iii.      New enrollees should wear the prescribed uniform two (2) weeks after the opening of classes.

                                                            iv.      Pupils not wearing the proper school uniform must present a letter of explanation signed by the parent/guardian.

b.       ATTENDANCE AND PUNCTUALITY

                                                               i.      Observe punctuality. All pupils should be in school on or fifteen (15) minutes before the Flag Ceremony. Should they come after the ceremony, they are already considered tardy. A letter of excuse is required stating the reason for their tardiness.

                                                             ii.      Regular attendance is compulsory unless your child is sick. (if he/she is sick, please notify the School Director or the teacher-adviser through a phone call or an excuse letter). Absences from classes due to co-curricular and other extra-curricular activities, the school director/principal or teacher- adviser shall be notified or informed.

                                                            iii.      Parents/Guardians should directly speak to the School Director or the adviser should they feel the need for their child to leave the classroom or to go home. Pupils can leave the school premises only if they are accompanied by their parents/guardians.

c.       OTHER POLICIES

                                                               i.      Cellphones are not allowed in the classroom as per DECS Order No. 70, s. 1999 and No. 26, s. 2000. Bringing in of play cards, walkmans, headphones, etc. are also prohibited.

                                                             ii.      Birthdays may be celebrated but with permission from the School Director. The school does not allow clowns, mascots or lavish parties as this may disrupt other classes.

                                                            iii.      It is the responsibility of the pupils to treat school property with care and to help keep the buildings and the school premises neat and clean with the advice of their parents/guardians.  Any damage done by a pupil to the property of the school or of others, besides subjecting the pupil to disciplinary measures, must be repaired or replaced at the pupil’s expense.

                                                            iv.      The holding of educational tours and field trips on a class day is strictly prohibited except during Saturdays or officially declared holidays, a waiver must be duly executed for financial and security reasons.

                                                            v.      Any pupil may be suspended, excluded, or expelled from the school at any time during the year for due cause as provided under Categories of Administrative Penalties from the Manual of Registration for Private Schools, 1992, pp. 43-45.

                                                            vi.      Classes may be suspended should there be a publicly and previously announced holiday and weather disturbance and shall be officially declared by the School Director.
